Ester form of vitamin E renowned for its antioxidant properties that helps to combat the free radicals responsible for photoaging (damage induced by the sun).
What is VITAMIN C (ESTER)?
Vitamin C ester is formed from ascorbic acid and palmitic acid to create a lipophilic form of vitamin C. This derivative of the original nutrient provides many of the same benefits of vitamin C, however it penetrates much deeper into the skin - reaching the deepest layers of the epidermis due to its fat-soluble form. It is also much more stable, meaning that it has a longer shelf life and is less effected by UV light and heat.

What are its properties?
Vitamin C ester significantly helps to slow the degradation of collagen by increasing the bioavailability of vitamin C in the keratinocytes (the main cell type present in the epidermis) and the fibroblasts (the main type of cell found in connective tissue) which helps to create more plentiful protein fibres. This results in improved elasticity, tighter skin and a diminished appearance of wrinkles.
It also works as a powerful antioxidant that helps to reduce pigmentation by encouraging skin healing. This lesser known, but equally effective form of vitamin C is considered safe to use on the skin and is non-sensitizing.
