Get back a satisfying skin texture: Dermaceutic kicks-off the peeling season!
Chemical peels are treatments used to improve the appearance or feel of the skin of the face, neck or hands. During this procedure, chemical solutions will be applied to the area being treated, which causes the skin to exfoliate and eventually peel off. Once this happens, the new skin underneath is often smoother, appears less wrinkled, and may have less damage.
What is a superficial peel?
Superficial peels are high-quality acid combinations to target skin concerns such as acne and premature signs of aging by penetrating only the uppermost layer of the epidermis to help you maintain healthy-looking skin.
Their application must be performed by a skin professional or dermatologist only to ensure safety and efficacy.
Depending on the type of pigmentary imperfection you want to target, they are 3 superficial peels into Dermaceutic range: Crystal Peel Mask Peel or Milk Peel.

What skin condition is targeted with peeling?
1 - ACNE
Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory condition of the pilosebaceous unit that manifests as open or closed comedones, more commonly known as blackheads and whiteheads (or microcysts), or more severe acne such as papules, pustules or nodules which are a result of bacterial proliferation increase in the follicular canal. The pathogenesis of this condition can be associated to the disequilibrium of the skin microbiome, fluctuation of hormones, genetic factors, or external environmental factors.
There are two types of acne, the whitehead and the comedons are considered as non-inflammatory acne, and in the inflammatory acne we have the papules, pustules and nodules and cyst for the most severe cases.
Why some people get acne, and some others don’t?
They are different factors:
Soap which increases the skin pH and may help the “bad” bacteria growth
Diet is important as skin is an emunctory, it cleans/detoxifies our body removing from toxins, when our diet is not balanced our skin produces sebum to eliminate these toxins
Pollution, stress, lifestyle, drugs
UV rays and even the climatic conditions of each country also modifies the microbiota.
Age (teenagers are more prone to acne)
Genetics and hormones
2- KERATOSIS PILARIS
It is a frequent inherited and begnin condition of follicular hyperkeratosis that causes dry, rough patches and tiny bumps. Lesions occur predominantly on the outer arms and legs, it may also involve the face, buttocks and trunk.
3- FINE LINES & WRINKLES
Skin aging is due to different factors that can be intrinsic with the reduction of biological cell activity, the slowing down regenerative process and the decrease of resistance to external factors.
But also extrinsic with sun ray repeated exposure, pollution due to human activity, stress of everyday life and bad lifestyle habits such as excessive tobacco and alcohol intake.
4- SUPERFICIAL PIGMENTED LESIONS
They are hyperpigmented patches mainly observed on photodamaged areas. Also known as “old age spots” or “senile freckles”.
90% of the white population aged over 60 are affected, but this condition may also occur in Asian populations and other ethnicities.
It is a flat, well-circumscribed patch. It can be round, oval or irregular in shape. Color varies from brown to dark brown, and size may go from a few millimeters to several centimeters in diameter.
