Understanding exosomes
Exosomes were discovered 30 years ago and identified as extracellular vesicles released through exocytosis. They were once considered merely a cellular waste disposal mechanism, but today they are recognized as playing a key role in intercellular communication.
Exosomes are tiny natural biological vesicles (30 to 150 nm) released by cells to facilitate intercellular communication. Rich in proteins, lipids, RNA, and DNA, they play a central role in tissue regeneration, immune response, and skin repair mechanisms.
